I believe the Harmon family was actualy named Herman in York  Pa and then changed to Harmon latter on.

Nicholas Herman was from Earl Township, Lancaster Co. Pa then he moved to York Co Pa

Herman-  John Nicholas was taxed in 1762.  His will was probated on April 5, 1764.  He married Ester Schwenk, and had the following children: 

Christian Herman
Maria Margartha Herman  b. Dec 4, 1751
Emanuel Herman  -  served in American Revolution
Johann Jacob Herman b. Aug. 15, 1754 -  served in American Revolution
Johann Jacob Herman b. Mar. 20, 1760 - served in American Revolution
Johann Phillip Herman b. Sept. 9, 1762

A daughter of one of the above sons of Nicholas was married to
Leonard Daniel Boeckel born 1810
